Vikas Sevavrati Vrund - 2020

Organizing various social activities on behalf of the group “Vikas Sevavrati Vrund” at Virar East

Agashi Virar Arnala Education Society’s N. G. Vartak English Medium High school and Junior College, Smt. Taramai Vartak Memorial Academy CBSE School and Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak college jointly organized various social events on the occasion of A.V.A.Educaion Society’s President Mr Vikas Narsinha Vartak Sir’s birthday. The teachers and staff of the three institutes came together and set up a group called “Vikas Sevavrati Vrund” to carry out various social activities throughout the year. This social initiative was launched on February 28, 2021 with two very remarkable initiatives. The first initiative was the Skin & Organ Donation Awareness and Registration Campaign. This campaign was launched in association with the Rotary Club Virar and ROSDAC. A webinar on “Skin and Organ Donation awareness” was organized, followed by registration campaign for the same. This webinar was inaugurated online by young social activist Shri. Pushkaraj Vikas Vartak. The principal Mrs. Sarika Rawat briefed the audience about the various social activities that will be conducted under the banner of “Vikas Sevavrati Vrund”. Resource person Dr. Shilpa Karnik and Mrs. Sangeeta Panda guided the audience on the topic and also tried clearing all the misconceptions held by the audience and encouraged them to be a part of this initiative. A link for registration for organ donation was shared during the session through which many people registered themselves as donors.

The webinar was attended by teachers and parents of the institute and also by the Rotarians. The program was moderated by Ms Farheen Khan, Professor of the College.

The second initiative, the guardianship of three schools namely Chhoti Uchawali, Mothi Uchawali and a school in Nangarmod village at Saphale was accepted under the title of this group. School material was distributed to the students of these tribal areas studying in these schools. The teachers of the group doubled the joy of the students by organizing some fun programs and games for them. The President’s son and a Young Leader Shri. Pushkaraj Vartak witnessed the event. Appreciating the selfless work of the Vrund, Shri Pushkaraj said “I am overwhelmed to see a very innovative way of expressing your respect & gratitude towards my father.”

Sarpanch of Uchawali village Shri. Ramesh Chawre, Deputy Sarpanch Mrs. Ujwala Jain, social activist Shri. Chandrashekhar Rawat Sir, Principal of N.G. Vartak English Medium High School Mrs. Sarika Rawat, Mrs. Rachna Sharma, Acting Principal and Mrs. Ranjana Kolwankar, Headmistress of Primary section of Taramai Vartak Memorial Academy, (CBSE School), Mrs. Sheetal Koradkar, Supervisor of Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak College, Mrs. Sangeeta D’Silva & Mrs. Manisha Adelkar Supervisors of N. G. Vartak High School were also present on the occasion. Mr. Jitendra Raut informed about the concept and upcoming activities of “Vikas Sevavrati Vrunda”. The day began with the prayer song by Mr. Prashant Patil.

Games organized by Mrs. Sonali Thakkar, Mrs. Janhavi Masdekar and Mrs. Sheetal Vartak brought a lot of fun and happiness to the students. The program was moderated by Mrs. Jacinta Lopes. The teachers of those ZP schools also actively participated and extended their co-operation in this venture. Heartfelt congratulations to the philanthropic attitude of the teachers of this “Vikas Sevavrati Vrund”.

Republic Day- 2020

On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, there was a celebration organized by our teachers of N. G. Vartak English Medium High School and Junior College.

During this celebration we had the immense pleasure of having the presence of Dr. Nitin Thorve amongst us, who is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Nidan. He has reached out to thousands of Covid 19 patients in this terrifying times, giving them the needed medical help and support free of cost.

Dr. Thorve addressed our teachers about the necessary precautions and measures to be taken for the well being of the school students as well as our families. His guidance will prove to be of great value to cope with Covid 19 in our day-today life.

Dr. Thorve’s valuable words were followed by a patriotic song presented by Mr. Prashant Patil sir and his team. It gave everyone a feeling to cherish our motherland and set a perfect patriotic atmosphere. Our teachers, gave tribute to Covid 19 warriors by honoring them and appreciating their work through patriotic dance performance choreographed by Mrs. Madhavi Rokade teacher and her group.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 08, 2021) Agashi Virar Arnala Education Society’s N. G. Vartak English Medium High school and Junior College, Smt. Taramai Vartak Memorial Academy CBSE School and Padmashree Bhausaheb Vartak college organized a seminar on ‘Nari Shakti’ by speaker Dr. Pallavi Parulekar-Bansode.

She is a distinguished personality and a member of Philatic Bureau, Govt. of India. Her profile has been selected for the “U S NASA MISSION TO MARS 2026” . Dr. Pallavi Parulekar empowered teacher’s as a women we should always be able to reach for the top and take a lead.
